Beefsteak in peppercorn sauce
Dare to prepare your favorite steak at home!
- 800 g beefsteak (the middle part, if possible)
- Sea salt flower
- Home Chef peppercorn sauce
- Kampot peppercorn
- olive oil
- Cut 4 cm wide steaks from the middle part of the beef, and sprinkle salt flowers over them. Grind the peppercorns in a mill or a mortar and sprinkle over the beefsteak.
- Sprinkle the steaks lightly with oil and put them in a preheated grill pan without any oil, for 4 minutes on each side.
- Wrap the roasted steaks in aluminum foil to “rest” a bit, for about 5 minutes.
- Meanwhile, slowly heat the ready-made Home Chef peppercorn sauce in a small pot.
- Take the meat out of the foil, put it on a plate, and pour the peppercorn sauce over it.
- As a side dish, you can serve the French potato gratin, also known as Gratin dauphinois, and various green salads. This will be a holiday-worthy meal, not tiring to prepare and it will fascinate your family and guests.
Beefsteak is the softest, highest in quality, most expensive and to many the favorite part of the meat. Although it can be prepared in various ways, it is the best when prepared most simply - either raw as tartare or (shortly) roasted.

The key to a good beefsteak is the preparation skill and the roasting time because already a few extra seconds can make a dry and hard chop out of this beautiful piece of meat. This is why the waiter always asks you how done you want your steak to be - raw, medium or well-done?

Beefsteak is often served with herb butter or various other sauces - from champignons, and boletus mushrooms to gorgonzola, but it goes the best and most often with peppercorn sauce.

You really do not have to wait for a restaurant visit to enjoy a juicy beefsteak - you can also prepare it perfectly at home, and the ready-made Home chef peppercorn sauce will thereby be a great help, saving you from hours of cooking beef stock and cream, and the result will be fantastic, trust us!
