  1. Heat the oven to 190 degrees.
  2. Line two baking sheets with baking paper.
  3. Mix the butter, sugar and salt with a whisk or mixer until the mixture becomes soft and creamy.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla extract. Continue mixing until everything is combined.
  5. Add turmeric and baking powder and mix gently.
  6. Add the flour and mix gently until everything is combined. Clean the edges of the bowl with a spatula and mix everything together once more.
  7. Place the dough in the refrigerator to firm up, for 10-15 minutes.
  8. During this time, make the sugar sprinkle. Mix sugar and turmeric in a small bowl.
  9. Scoop out the dough with a spoon or an ice cream scoop and shape it into balls (weighing approximately 40 g).
  10. Roll each ball in a sprinkle of sugar and turmeric and place them on a baking sheet. Leave enough space between the balls because the biscuits will expand during baking.
  11. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes, until they start turning brown on the edges. Leave them to cool - they will be crispy on the edges and softer in the middle.
