Four Italian flavored vinegars that can change the flavors of your favorite dishes and drinks
Synthesis of tradition, quality ingredients and modern culinary art
Acetaia Mussini – vinegar cellars of the Mussini family
Since 1909, the Mussini family has turned the production of balsamic vinegar from Modena into real art. The love for balsamic vinegar and the taste associated with the local tradition of preparing grapes and must is passed down from generation to generation. Although the balsamic vinegar production technology has changed over time, the Mussini family still strives to be traditional in vinegar production.
Back in the last century, the first barrels were placed in the vinegar cellar, which was initially located in Marzaglia, and later they were moved to the foot of the Apennines. More precisely in Magreto in the province of Modena.

Almost everyone knows that Modena is known for its rich history, culture, art and good food. The Modena area is characterized by the vast and fertile plains located between the Secchia and Panaro rivers where the Lambrusco and Trebbiano di Modena vineyards are grown.

The combination of traditional methods passed down from father to son through the generations, and the most modern techniques and tools in the production of vinegar allows the Mussini family to offer an excellent product that is constantly evolving and fits in with the latest food and beverage trends.
With its products, Mussini offers the joy of living that we associate with the Italian temperament, and it comes from the motto "Mangiare bene a tavola!", that is, in translation, "Eat well at the table!". What Mussini tells us is that we need to know how to combine flavors and richness of aromas with the originality of tradition as taught by Mediterranean cuisine.
Vinegar from Mussini's Vinegar Bar line is a new concept that brings freshness to your kitchen, and gives your dishes and drinks the aroma of summer. We recommend them to those who like to explore flavors, and to foodies with different palates and gastronomic cultures. We would highlight these four:
Balsam Gin – Tonic – A world trend
Balsam Gin-Tonic with its transparent color and unique aroma brings the world trend and a new culture of non-alcoholic drinking to your kitchen.
The second from the Vinegar bar line is made from boiled white wine must and wine vinegar, flavored with gin-tonic and lime flavor. Its taste resembles one of the most popular and favorite drinks - gin and tonic. This vinegar is light in color and elegantly balanced with different fresh flavors and fits perfectly in the preparation of alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails. It's also great for creating delicious dishes like tuna tartare or for marinating pork skewers for the upcoming grilling season.
Like all balsams from this line, Balsam Gin-Tonic is ideal for preparing alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails. In the preparation of the Negroni cocktail, add aromatic vinegar along with Vermouth and Campari to give classic drinks a new flavor dimension. To enjoy a non-alcoholic cocktail, try vinegar with carbonated water, which, decorated with a lime peel and a couple of pine berries, becomes an irresistible cocktail for any gathering.
For all coffee lovers who start their day with coffee, but also for those for whom afternoon break means "coffee" - how about a refreshing gin and tonic coffee? Prepare an espresso, add ice and a few drops of this wonderful vinegar and the holiday can begin.
It is indispensable in the preparation of savory and sweet dishes. Due to its balanced sweet and sour taste, it can be used to prepare light summer recipes such as chicken salad, spicy grilled pork, or the already mentioned tuna tartar in soy sauce. For dessert, serve it in a tropical fruit salad and cream made from the finest mascarpone cheese.
Balsam Amaretto – The finest taste of almonds
All lovers of the Italian liqueur Amaretto will like this vinegar, the last in the series of our selection from the Vinegar bar line. Amaretto in translation means "slightly bitter", and the combination with vinegar gives this balsam a sweet-sour taste with a wide use range.
Balsam Amaretto is made from boiled white grape must and wine vinegar, flavored with the taste of sweet Italian Amaretto liqueur and almonds. This vinegar has an intense amber color and a sweet almond flavor - perfectly suitable for making alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails, but also for dressing delicious dishes, such as fruit salad or mashed carrots, beets and potatoes.
For the alcoholic version of the cocktail, we recommend adding Amaretto vinegar to the already well-known Godmother cocktail, whose ingredients are vodka and amaretto. Mix everything gently so that the flavors are completely combined. Serve cold and impress your guests at evening summer get-togethers. For the carefree enjoyment of a non-alcoholic drink, we recommend adding Balsam Amaretto to apple juice, and dried apple slices and fresh mint leaves to completely round off the taste, which you will not be able to remain indifferent to.
Balsam Amaretto is really easy to incorporate into the recipe for starters and main courses. Add flavored vinegar to your favorite salad (besides olive oil), which turns a boring salad into an amazing appetizer everyone will talk about. If you have no idea what ingredients to use in salads apart from the usual lettuce, these foods can inspire you to create the finest appetizers: carrots, potatoes, apples, and feta cheese. Boil the potatoes and cut them into slices. Cut other foods into the desired sizes and shapes. When the potatoes are ready, cut them into slices and add them to the other ingredients. Season everything well with olive oil and vinegar and mix lightly. For the main course, we recommend mashed root vegetables (carrots, beets and potatoes) and beef fillets baked in a sauce made of olive oil, flavored vinegar and thyme (thyme will also work).
Balsam Limoncino – The sun of the Italian coast
Mussini's Balsam Limoncino brings the sun of the Italian coast into your kitchen with its beautiful yellow color.
This balsamic dressing is made from a mixture of cooked white grape must and wine vinegar and is flavored with lemon zest and limoncino (lemon basil). The taste resembles the most famous Italian liqueur Limoncello. With its deep yellow color and intense lemon flavor, Balsam Limoncino is Mussini's answer to the rapidly growing trend of soft drinks. This dressing offers many possibilities, such as creating new cocktails, but also enhancing the taste of your favorite recipes and dishes, especially fish.
This flavored vinegar is perfect for preparing cocktails - the classic ones with alcohol or non-alcoholic ones (mocktails). Preparing a cocktail has never been easier: add sweet and sour Balsam Limoncino to prosecco and sparkling water and enjoy this refreshing cocktail for hours, or if you want a non-alcoholic version, add Mussini Limoncino aromatic vinegar to sparkling water, garnish with fresh strawberries and mint leaves and your first mocktail of this in summer it is ready to be served at garden parties.
In addition to drinks, due to its sweet and sour taste, Balsam Limoncino goes well with savory dishes such as summer salads with chicken or fish carpaccio - such as salmon with avocado. Feel free to use it to prepare desserts such as fruit salads or various fruit puddings.
Balsam Spritz – Famous Italian aperitif
Mussini Balsam Spritz brings summer into your kitchen with its intense orange color.
Balsam Spritz is another gem in this range of vinegars. It is a balsamic dressing based on boiled white grape must and wine vinegar, flavored with the taste of the most famous Italian aperitif, Spritz. This intensely orange-colored vinegar with a strong orange flavor is ideal for preparing cocktails and mocktails and complements the flavors of tried-and-true recipes such as Greek salad, and goes well with duck meat.
Like Limoncino, Balsam Spritz is great to mix with prosecco and sparkling water to make a refreshing cocktail that will cool you down on hot summer evenings. For a complete presentation, as well as taste, add dried slices of red oranges to the cocktail when serving. To enjoy a non-alcoholic drink, mix Balsam Spritz with freshly squeezed orange juice. With a few fresh mint leaves and orange slices, this natural juice becomes an extraordinary non-alcoholic cocktail.
As we have already mentioned, Balsam Spritz also goes well with savory dishes. As we turn to lighter meals during the summer, salads are a great choice for lunch during the day or a light dinner that you won't spend a lot of time preparing. In addition to the Greek salad, another salad gets a new flavor dimension with this flavored vinegar-goat cheese salad. A mix of green salads, shredded goat cheese, walnuts, tomatoes, olive oil and Balsam Spritz vinegar is a great irresistible combination of flavors and textures. If you want meat in your salad, we recommend grilled duck breast or grilled breast in a carrot salad. Duck breast in risotto is also an excellent choice - add Balsam Spritz to your favorite risotto recipe and enjoy the taste transformation.
We have not forgotten about the desserts, with which these vinegars go well. In addition to fruit salads, use vinegar to prepare dressings for desserts such as panna cotta. The dressing is prepared by reducing orange, grapefruit and lime juices with added vinegar.
To conclude: Mussini offers us that no matter what type of drink and food you prepare, everything is possible with the Vinegar bar line of flavored alcohol-free vinegar.
